In his new documentary film, Reinhold Messner shows how easily solidarity between climbing partners can turn into deceit and betrayal.

n 1972, Reinhold Messner undertakes a pioneering expedition with Wolfgang Nairz and their team to climb Manaslu via the south-west flank - an unsolved mystery in the Himalayas at the time. Reinhold Messner brings this gripping story to the screen and directs the film himself.

Museum project in Nepal In Namche Bazar at an altitude of almost 3500 metres, Reinhold & Diane, together with Sherpa Lhakpa Sonam, have created a museum about the Sherpa narrative.

On 8 May 1978 Reinhold Messner and Peter Habeler became the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest without the use of supplemental oxygen. A revolution!
