Reinhold Messner Final Expedition 2027 Bratislava
Bratislava Stars Auditorium 23 & 24 March 2027
He will be appearing in Slovakia on 23 and 24 March 2027. Both talks will take place at the STARS Auditorium, a modern multi-purpose venue with a capacity of around 800 people in theatre-style seating.
Reinhold Messner is one of the most influential figures in the world of mountaineering. He was the first person in history to climb all fourteen of the world’s eight-thousanders and has achieved a series of groundbreaking ascents in the Alps, the Himalayas, the Karakoram and other mountain regions. He has had a decisive influence on the modern understanding of high-altitude mountaineering, particularly through his emphasis on a lightweight climbing style and on traversing high mountains without the use of artificial oxygen.
The ‘The Last Expedition’ project offers a retrospective look at more than six decades of expeditions, discoveries and travels. The programme features personal accounts of the most significant expeditions, historical photographs and an insight into how mountaineering and adventure travel have evolved over the past decades.
